STARTS in MOTION Pitch Event by INOVA

STARTS in Motion is an art-tech accelerator programme led by INOVA, that has been designed to empower artists and technologists in further developing their art-tech project by exploring the business side of the creative endeavors. During the last four months, they have worked with art-tech projects, through mentoring and workshops on key topics (business model and strategy, pitching, storytelling, pricing, etc.), to support them in developing their prototype / solution and bring it to the market. For this session on July 5th, 3 projects have been selected that demonstrate how much the market of transdisciplinary innovation is vibrant in Europe, and how art-driven perspectives can bring disruptive, ethical and sustainable products to life: VYX (NL): a tech-driven wearable tailored to the aging population that enhances vital and beautiful living through preventive health monitoring. VYX is part of the Prosthetic X project. Go Curb carbon  (FR): an app which combines a carbon calculator, a green wallet and an information page. It aims to bring a new model for encouraging carbon footprint reduction and empowering citizens to adjust their daily choices. Digital fashion framework (UK): a digital innovation lab building an immersive, v-commerce platform which will allow users to create, trade and wear virtual fashion and game skins in the metaverse using Extended Realities. We pave the way towards a more sustainable and accessible immersive era in fashion, games and entertainment.

    The conference will present the main project results to the wider public. The visibility of the 60 start-ups which participated in the Space Academies will be maximized thanks to a dedicated poster exhibition and hearing success stories, best practices and the lessons learned. The event will provide policy recommendations and will reflect on the follow-up of the initiative, its integration into the broader European ecosystem of support for start-ups and the long-term sustainability. There will be plenty of opportunities for further networking between the start-ups, the project partners, investors, policy makers and EU and ESA officials. EUROPEAN AND AFRICAN BUSINESS ANGELS NOW HAVE A DEDICATED YEARLY FLAGSHIP EVENT! This event puts a spotlight on the role of BAs in supporting early-stage entrepreneurial ecosystems. It will take place on October 7th, 2021, as part of Bpifrance Inno Génération, the largest entrepreneurial event in Europe, which brings together more than 40,000 entrepreneurs every year. PROMOTING EARLY STAGE INVESTMENT IN EUROPE AND AFRICA CONTEXTEuroQuity, Bpifrance’s online matchmaking platform, and France Angels, the federation of  French business angels, have been organizing business meetings between business angels and  entrepreneurs for the past four years.
