Spotlight on EAIS26: Meet the egg’s Startups Taking the Stage

At the European Angel Investment Summit 2026 (EAIS26) in Luxembourg, our member egg – enter grow go, backed by Eurobank, once again supported EBAN in bringing promising startups to the European investment community.

Through its continued partnership with EBAN, egg brought three startups to the Summit, giving them the opportunity to showcase their solutions, exchange ideas with investors and industry leaders, and explore new connections across borders.

Representing different areas of innovation, CRIPTIA, THIER and Optimum Lab took part in two sector-focused sessions: Women in Life Sciences and Deep Tech.

Get to know the three startups and hear directly from their founders about their experience at EAIS26.

CRIPTIA: Smarter pest management through technology

CRIPTIA develops integrated pest management systems for professional and industrial facilities. Combining smart detection, continuous monitoring and prevention technologies, the company helps organisations manage pest risks through a more intelligent and proactive approach.

At EAIS26, founder Alexandros Papapostolou presented CRIPTIA during the Deep Tech session:

“Participating in the European Angel Investment Summit was a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the European innovation and investment ecosystem, exchange perspectives with investors, founders and industry leaders, and explore new opportunities for collaboration as we expand CRIPTIA’s international footprint. We highly value egg’s role in facilitating these opportunities and look forward to building on the connections established in Luxembourg.”

THIER: Making workplace health more predictive

THIER empowers organisations to take a proactive, data-driven approach to workplace health and wellbeing. Its platform provides actionable insights into health-related challenges, helping organisations identify where interventions can make the greatest difference and measure the impact of their initiatives.

Founder Kofo Mary Are presented THIER at the Women in Life Sciences forum and joined the accompanying panel discussion:

“Stepping onto the stage to pitch THIER at the Women in Life Sciences forum and participating in the panel discussion hosted by egg underscored the power of cross-border collaboration fostered by EBAN at the European Angel Investment Summit during Luxembourg Venture Days. Sharing our vision for predictive workplace health alongside forward-thinking leaders and being invited into targeted syndicates like Angels 4 Health and LBAN reaffirmed that the shift from reactive ‘sick care’ to predictive intelligence is gaining real institutional momentum across Europe, a momentum driven by networks like EBAN.”
— Kofo Mary Are, Founder at THIER

Optimum Lab: Bringing AI-powered design agents to engineering

Optimum Lab develops AI design agents for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineers. Its technology enables engineering firms to build, deploy and maintain their own design agents, transforming technical expertise into reusable intelligence within the BIM tools they already use, while keeping engineers in control of every change.

Founder Ioannis Kopsacheilis presented Optimum Lab during the Deep Tech session and joined a panel discussion with egg to share the startup’s journey:

“Building Optimum Lab is more than a personal goal. We want to change how mechanical and electrical engineers design building systems by bringing intelligent technology into their hands. From the beginning, egg believed in us, connected us with a strong entrepreneurial network, and helped us work through the challenges along the way. At EBAN’s European Angel Investment Summit in Luxembourg, I presented Optimum Lab during the deep tech session and joined Elena Stefanatou on a panel to talk about our journey with egg. Being in the same room as people who back European founders shows exactly the kind of opportunities and relationships egg creates.”
— Ioannis Kopsacheilis, Founder at Optimum Lab

Creating opportunities beyond borders

For startups looking to grow beyond their home markets, opportunities to connect with international investors, exchange expertise and gain visibility within the wider European ecosystem can make a real difference.

Through its partnership with EBAN, egg continues to create opportunities for ambitious founders to showcase their work, build meaningful connections and explore their next steps towards growth.

A big thank you to the startups for sharing their stories, and to egg and Eurobank for their continued collaboration and commitment to supporting entrepreneurship.
