France Angels Joins EBAN, Deepening Europe's Early-Stage Investment Ecosystem

Brussels, July 2026

EBAN – the European Business Angels Network – is proud to announce that France Angels, the National Federation of Business Angels of France, has joined EBAN as a member. The announcement was made on 18 June 2026 in Paris, during a landmark evening celebrating two milestones: the 25th anniversary of France Angels and the 10th anniversary of VivaTech, a fitting backdrop for a reunion that signals a new era of European angel cooperation.

France Angels represents nearly 50 business angel networks and more than one billion euros invested in over 5,000 startups since its founding in 2001, making it one of the largest and most established angel federations in Europe. Founded with the mission of developing an economic, social, and legal environment favourable to business angels, France Angels has spent 25 years championing the role of angels as guides and financers of high-growth, job-creating companies.

“Innovation knows no borders. By joining EBAN, France Angels reaffirms its commitment to contributing to a more connected and ambitious European seed funding ecosystem, while offering its member networks privileged access to a European community of investors, recognised expertise, and new opportunities for cooperation,” said Philippe Rase, Co-President of France Angels.

The France Angels membership in EBAN comes at a crucial moment for European early-stage investment. As Europe navigates an increasingly complex geopolitical and economic landscape, the need for coordinated cross-border angel activity, stronger co-investment frameworks, and a unified voice at the European Commission level has never been more urgent. France, home to one of Europe’s most vibrant early-stage investment communities, has long been a key piece of that puzzle.

This membership strengthens EBAN’s collective capacity to advocate for entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation across Europe. It opens the door to deeper collaboration on cross-border angel syndication, co-investment fund development, and ecosystem-building initiatives that benefit the entire European angel community.

EBAN and France Angels are committed to working together to accelerate initiatives that matter: making cross-border investment more accessible, amplifying the angel investor voice in European policy, and ensuring that early-stage capital continues to flow to the founders and innovations shaping Europe’s future.
