This initiative builds on EBAN and UN Women’s ongoing collaboration to empower women founders across Europe and Central Asia by connecting them with angel investors, VCs, and ecosystem leaders. At Gateway to Europe, the delegation will showcase innovative businesses, engage with international investors, and gain access to valuable networking opportunities. “Supporting women entrepreneurs is at the heart of EBAN’s mission and fully aligned with the goals of our Manifesto for a Gender Balanced Angel Investing Ecosystem,” said Jacopo Losso, EBAN Director. “We are thrilled to continue this collaboration with UN Women and help more women-led ventures access European capital and expertise.” The Gateway to Europe event highlights Armenia’s emergence as a regional innovation hub, bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to strengthen ties between European and Eastern/Central Asian startup ecosystems. With the participation of UN Women Armenia, the programme will shine an even brighter spotlight on the role of women in shaping the region’s future of innovation.

About UN Women Armenia
UN Women exists to advance women’s rights, gender equality, and the empowerment of all women and girls. Operating in Armenia since 2024, UN Women carries a triple mandate: supporting governments in fulfilling normative commitments, coordinating UN system efforts on gender equality, and implementing programs that integrate gender perspectives into policies and development initiatives. UN Women keeps the rights of women and girls at the centre of global progress—always, everywhere. Because gender equality is not just what we do. It is who we are.
