EBAN is proud to announce four great projects to improve our European community: InvestHorizon, ePlus, Future Internet Business and Eureka High Tech Investment Program.

The InvestHorizon project aims at boosting the investment awareness and readiness amongst innovative SMEs and at improving the sensitization of investors and innovation intermediaries across the EU. The project, well aligned with SME instruments and H2020 objectives, consists in granting tailored information tools and coaching support to highly innovative SMEs.

InvestHorizon consists in addressing the challenge of Europe lagging behind other regions of the world in technology transfer and the commercialization of R&I; with the shortage of early stage investment as one of the major contributing factors. The project will also assess investment readiness schemes, identify good practices, notably regarding entrepreneurs training, pitching and investor matchmaking tools.

ePlus Ecosystem

The ePlus ecosystem project will develop and deploy an on line and on site environment, building on and interconnecting existing ecosystems, hubs and initiatives, in order to set up a runway for web entrepreneurs to start and scale up a business in Europe and grow internationally.

This European ecosystem will help web-entrepreneurs to develop and scale up their ideas and businesses, from a business international validation phase, to internationalization, access to finance and to business growth, thus complementing the service offer currently made available at the local ecosystem level. The ePlus project will also offer a unique platform that answers to the need for new services expressed in the startup manifesto.

Future Internet Business

Future Internet Business is a support program of the FIWARE accelerator program, an initiative launched by the European Commission to dramatically increase the competitiveness of Europe’s Information and Communications Technologies.

The aim of FI-business is to support FIWARE startups and companies with services such as bootcamps, webinars, e-pitches and similar instruments to complement the existing services offered by the accelerators’ programs. Together with the other partners of the project EBAN will play a vital role in mobilizing the early stage investment community through investments forums, online pitching sessions and investment readiness programs in the FI-Business project together with its partners (Bwcon, Eurescom, Media deals, Metavallon, Uusi Tehdas/ New Factory).

Eureka E!InnoVest

E!nnoVest is organised by EUREKA in cooperation with EBAN, EBN and Europe Unlimited, and it is the second edition of the pilot programme Eureka High-tech Investment Programme (EUREKA HTIP), which took place in 2015.

Specifically, E!nnoVest will:

  • Increase EUREKA companies’ investment readiness through live webinars, regional venture academies and one2one mentoring held by seasoned business coaches.
  • Provide EUREKA SMEs with investment readiness tools.
  • Maximise companies’ exposure to active International Venture Capitalists and Business Angels in the ICT, Life Sciences and Clean Technologies sectors.
  • Matchmaking companies with specialized investors and technology experts, especially at cross-border level.

The Eureka High Tech Investment Program aims to boost the investment awareness and readiness amongst the innovative SMEs in the Eureka area, to promote these companies towards the investment community and actively facilitate investment matching of the companies that are investment ready. The goal is to increase private investments in the SMEs benefiting from Eureka/ Eurostars.
