Press Release: THE NEXT SOCIETY Start-up Booster Track ending the year on a great note with the Power Dinner in Marseille
Brussels, 5 December 2018
On 20th November in Marseille, 3 entrepreneurs from the MENA region (Moodfit from Lebanon and Moldiag from Morocco, winners of the Innovators Academy that took place in Milan on 7-8 May were joined by Optimalogistic from Tunisia), 9 Business Angels (Omar El Hyani, (Morocco), Jean-Marc Larouche (Ivory Coast), Marcel Dridje (Algeria), Mylène Chouzenoux (France), Benoît Nicolai (France) Audra Shallal, Nathalie Dumas, Patrick Kedziora and Laetitia Chabannes), and investment experts from Tunisia and Senegal, gathered for an intense afternoon of pitching and networking.
Over one afternoon, the participating investors got the chance to exchange on investment best practices and startup ecosystems in their respective countries in Africa during the “Invest in THE NEXT SOCIETY” workshop, while the entrepreneurs joined a crowd of fellow start-up founders from the Social Inclusive Business Camp in order to test their pitch. The two groups then joined together for 2 hours of speed-pitching where each entrepreneur had 3 occasions to present his/her project to a group of investors. A well-deserved networking break closed this intense afternoon before the entrepreneurs could relax during the last activity of the day: the gala dinner.
The Power Dinner was organised by EBAN and ANIMA Investment Network in collaboration with DiafrikInvest and the Social Inclusive Business Camp of AFD (Agence Française de Développement) during Emerging Valley 2018.
Until our next event with THE NEXT SOCIETY!
