Arabreneur, in partnership with USAID and Startup Bootcamp, the largest European network of accelerators, organizes the Third Angel Pitching Event on September 18th at the Al-Khuzama in Ramallah.
Arabreneur’s aim is to engage young entrepreneurs in their development and provide them with facilities to use their creativity and time to develop startup companies that will provide them economic and social growth. Through Arabreneur, the entrepreneurs find facilities, mentors, investors, working spaces and a global network where they get support in the setup of their own company.
After the successful first pitching event last November, four startups received investment from Arabreneur and several local and international investors. In four months these companies have already accelerated their development tremendously. One company expanded its market by signing contracts in Jordan, KSA, Dubai, Iraq and Canada. A second company was selected from among many international startups as the first Palestinian startup to take part in the Microsoft Ventures acceleration program. Another company attended the Google Blackbox program in Silicon Valley.
During the second pitching event on April 6th, Arabreneur showcased seven new promising Palestinian startups for the Arabreneur Venture Fund and other angel investors interested in new investment opportunities. The companies presented various exciting products, including an online game, a platform for MENA freelancers, an Arabic website builder, a platform for online therapy, a mobile image recognition application, and an ingredient-based recipe website. The seven companies passionately pitched their ideas to the public, showing high levels of professionalism and dedication.
During this third unique event, innovative startups will present their companies to Angel Investors and Venture Capitals.

The two-day workshop on exit strategies will be an opportunity for EVPA members and other VP/SI practitioners to:
- provide a first-hand insight into the practical approach to exit strategies as developed through EVPA’s research project on the topic
- present the results of the first draft of the exit strategy manual in a dynamic way mixing lecture style talks with break-out sessions where participants are able to contribute with their own experience – contributions which will be incorporated in the final version of the manual
- provide an environment for interaction with the expert group members who worked with EVPA for several months on the exit strategy manual
This workshop is an opportunity for you and others with or without experience in exits to learn from each other and to use the research to further build your internal knowledge on the topic. The workshop aims to cover the different considerations when using the three main types of financing in VP/SI (grants, debt and equity).
