Seed&Click 080 Investor Day

The third edition of 080 Investor Day, the international investment forum for the fashion industry organized by 080 Barcelona Fashion and Seed&Click, already has its finalists. The selected projects will present their projects on 28th June at 4 p.m. at Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau (Barcelona), during a day of exclusive activities within the 080 Barcelona Fashion programme.

The objective of 080 Investor Day is to boost business initiatives, to promote national and international investment and to encourage commercial transactions and innovations in the fashion industry.

The startups finalists of the 2017 edition are:

Binfluencer is a platform devoted to connect brands and influencers in an organized and automatic manner, allowing the execution of campaigns as never before.

Buytrendy is the influencer’s wardrobe, where only them can sell their clothes so the public can buy them and also read their posts.

Imersivo offers a new sales channel, See Now Buy Now: a new customer’s experience, made interactive and funny, which is digitally transforming the retail sector.

Yumehub is a user-generated-content platform that provides feedback on fashion to help users on what to choose and to buy clothes. Yumers can share their looks and ask for honest, anonymous and real-time feedback to a database of international users.

Woodys is a company that designs, produces and distributes colorful glasses made by wood. Their collections are designed and guaranteed with experts opinions.

The emerging brands selected as finalists on the 2017 edition are:

Colmillo de Morsa offers unique fashion designs based on European high-quality tissues produced locally and in a responsible way.

Fishikii is a brand whose products are 100% printed in Barcelona. Its idea is based on the desire of ending with our daily boredom through unique, colorful and surprising designs.

Madmoiçon is a sustainable fashion brand for urban girls. Their designs are inspired on the 20’s and the 90’s, taking into account the principles of image consulting.

Makelovelovemake is a bags brand whose designs and creative concepts are born out of inspiring life stories.

Uttopy is a solidary and sustainable brand that helps NGOs on raising awareness and funds through their designs.

The selection criteria to evaluate the startups and the emerging brands selected as finalists considered their innovation capacity, viability, social impact, experience and attitude of their teams, as well as their communication capacity. Out of the total of projects received, 60.5% were from Spain, 15.7% from USA and 5.2% from UK, among others.

The startups were seeking an average capital of 990.000€, being 130.000€ in the case of the emerging brands. The average year in which the projects were founded was 2016, emphasizing the presence of e-commerce platforms, apps to manage influencers and to analyze trends when it comes to the startup applicants. In the case of the emerging brands that applied to the forum, factors like sustainability, local trade and creativity clearly arised.

The jury members of 080 Investor Day 2017 will evaluate the finalists and choose who the winning projects are on June 28th. The forum will be attended by experts as Luiz F Costa (LDJ Capital), Jan Brinckmann (ESADE), Matthew Drinkwater (LCF), Corey Moran (Google), Enric Jové (McCann Worldgroup), Javier Blázquez (Baker McKenzie), Karina Riera (4YFN), Luis Lara (KPMG) and Manuel Moreno (Grupo Zeta).
