Become a Trainer
The EBAN Institute Advisory Board will certify a number of seasoned professionals to deliver EBAN Institute training for BAN/SF managers.
The profile of the trainer should be able to demonstrate the following:
- 5 years of proven experience in a successful BAN/Fund depending on the market
- Previous experience in training – evaluation of pedagogic skills
- References
- Experience in an international environment and language skills
- Motivation letter
- Active EBAN member (knowledge of EBAN)
Accredited trainers will be appointed solely from the EBAN member pool. When an organisation ceases EBAN membership, it will immediately resign its right to the appointment of one or several trainers.

Advisory Board for the selection of trainers
Luigi Amati, META Group, Italy
Luigi Amati has twenty years of experience in Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Since 1993 he is the CEO (and co-founder) of META Group. Between 1987 and 1993 he worked both in Italy and the UK on computational mechanics research activities. Most recent professional experience is on creation and management of Seed funds and mentoring of young Knowledge Intensive companies. He has worked and studied in different countries such as Italy, England, Tunisia, Holland, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Russia. He is a member of the Venture Capital Committee of the Italian Venture Capital Association, a member of 1generation network and a founder of the Italian Angels for Growth Club in Milan.
Francisco Banha, Gesventure, Portugal
Francisco Banha is an unquestioned reference in the Portuguese enterprise community and is CEO of Gesventure, a fund raising organisation, which raised over 16 million euros for the early stage market. After creating Gesbanha, he continues to invest in innovative projects and has also estalbished GesEntrepreneur in partnership with CGInternational (Canada) and the entrepreneur guru Chris Curtis to deliver innovative entrepreneurship programs in Portuguese speaking countries. Additionally, Francisco created Portugal’s first BA network, Business Angels Club, and supported the creation of four regional networks in Porto, Covilhã, Cascais and Faro that later created FNABA, Portuguese BA Association’s Network along with Business Angels Club.
Brigitte Baumann, Go Beyond, Switzerland/EU
Brigitte is the Founder and CEO of Go Beyond Ltd., the European Angel Financing Services firm. Brigitte is a Business Angel and serves on a number of selection and investment committees in Europe. She is President of the Board of EBAN, and is on the Certification Board of CTI Start-Up, the Swiss agency promoting technology and innovation. Brigitte chairs Young Presidents Organization’s Angel Investing group.
Reginald Vossen, BAN Vlaanderen, Belgium
Reginald Vossen is the General Manager for BAN Vlaanderen and President of the ARK Angels Fund nv in Belgium. Prior to these positions, he was the Manager for Limburg BAN and the Chief of Staff Provincial Economic Executive. Reginald works actively with SMEs through organising integrated finance solutions and coaching programmes on gazelles. He is a member of the Belgian Federal working Committee on “SME-Access to bank finance and financial markets” as well as a board member and President of the jury of “Bizidee”, a Flemish business plan competition.
