What is the process to become an accredited angel/entrepreneur training programme?
- Complete a programme questionnaire
- The Selection Board reviews your programme documents and self-reported data (a phone interview may be conducted)
- Past customers may be contacted for references
- Data will be further assessed bi-annually
What is the cost for accreditation?
- For pan-European programmes: 3.000€
- For national programmes: 1.000€
- Both certifications are valid for 2 years and can be renewed
- Charges apply per course

The Selection Board, which is composed of a number of EBAN members, conducts the pan-European and national
angel/entrepreneur programme accreditation.
The members of the selection board do not operate an angel/entrepreneur programme themselves.
Francisco Banha, Gesventure, Portugal
Francisco Banha is an unquestioned reference in the Portuguese enterprise community and is CEO of Gesventure, a fund raising organisation, which raised over 16 million euros for the early stage market. After creating Gesbanha, he continues to invest in innovative projects and has also estalbished GesEntrepreneur
in partnership with CGInternational (Canada) and the entrepreneur guru
Chris Curtis to deliver innovative entrepreneurship programs in
Portuguese speaking countries. Additionally, Francisco created
Portugal’s first BA network, Business Angels Club,
and supported the creation of four regional networks in Porto, Covilhã,
Cascais and Faro that later created FNABA, Portuguese BA Association’s
Network along with Business Angels Club.
Albert Colomer, BANC, Spain
Albert Colomer is the founder and managing director of BANC, the first Business Angels Network in Cataluña, Spain and treasurer of Fundación ESBAN, which promotes the Business Angels networks in Spain. As an entrepreneur and business angel, he has 20 years of experience supporting entrepreneurs and has consulted several start-ups in Spain. Since 1990 he is Executive Director of CP'AC, “Private foundation for the promotion of the self employment of Catalunya” specialised in training and advising businesses and entrepreneurial education.
Philippe Gluntz,
Chairman (Hon.) of ADP Europe and Chairman (Hon.) of HR Outsourcing
Association Europe, President of France Angels, Vice-President of Paris
Business Angels, Professor of Corporate Strategy and Consultant in
Strategy.
Philippe Gluntz is now Chairman of France Angels,
the French Association of Business Angels, Board Member of several IT
companies, and is heavily involved in the Venture Capital market, on top
of his academic teaching. He is also a Director of “l’Institut de l’
Entreprise”, a private “Think Tank”, sponsored by most of the Global
Companies Headquartered in France.
René Reijtenbagh, OOST NV, The Netherlands
With
a background in regional economic development, René Reijtenbagh focuses
on initiating and managing business angels networks. In 1999 he started
“Masters of the Future”,
the BA network for the eastern part of the Netherlands, with over 200
incorporated business angels. Due to his extensive experience with the
pre-selecting propositions, at least a quarter of the selected companies
are matched with business angels. René Reijtenbagh is board member of
the Dutch Federation of Business Angel Networks and elected to the EBAN Board of Directors.
