EBAN is a non-profit association representing the interests of early stage investors across Europe. Established with the collaboration of the European Commission in 1999 by a group of pioneer BANs in Europe and EURADA (European Association of Development Agencies), EBAN is today a pan-European organisation reaching out to 155 members in 51 countries.
EBAN represents a growing sector worth 7,5 billion Euros (2013) of investment of which angel investment represents €5,5 billions. Early stage investment has a direct impact in the economy as it drives equity to the most innovative businesses and thus creating jobs and growth in the long term. Recent research shows that angel investment creates on average 16,7 new jobs in the 4 years following an investment.
